Petaling street Hokkian Mee

Recently I tried the famous Petaling Street Hokkien mee.
the dish is quite oily and the ingredients doesn't seem to gel together. Most importantly, the wok hei was seriously lacking.

The wine is Bolla's Valpolicella.. Pretty simple on the nose with sour red fruit. Almost void of any complexities thou. Drink and forget

Local oyster from Perak

Recently my family visited a friend who farmed oyster in Perak. It appears that they are able to farm huge oyster in Malaysia now.
No wonder I am seeing tons of restaurant in kl offering oysters now.

Taste wise is still similar, but the flesh is a tad less sweet and thinner.

Lignier Morey St Denis 2002

Very tight still but on the nose a lovely alluring mix of wood, cherry and red fruits.

On the palate it is clean and light weight. Wait 5 years!
