New Year Eve 2008@Astoria Park

Demona: Dogma and his friends decided to have a quiet chill out session at Kai's place for New Year's eve, with some snacks, beers and a company of some good friends.

Demona: Kai was the star chef of the night. He brought out some Taiwan made sausages from the freezer, slit them apart and microwaved them. The reddish looking sausages came glistened with a pungent porky smell when he served us. As expected, it tasted really oily and salty. However, food like these went really well with beer alright!

Demona: The disco ball-like vodka container caught Dogma's attention. He went on commenting the bottle " Pretty.. pretty... pretty". ( The bottle was so much luckier than I was, to be getting these comments from him. HMMMMMM..) James bought over some Hoegaarden beers too, adding to the ones in Kai's fridge.

Demona: Star chef Kai microwaved up some Mat Salleh sausages later on. Yin and Yang. Asian versus Western. These sausages had cheezie weezie inner fillings and they hailed from the United States.

The melted cheese was literally oozing out when we cut them into smaller pieces. When I took a tangy bite, it also oozed out as well. The effect was pretty similar to the "Lai Liew Ngau Yuen" ( Pissing Beef Balls ? !) featured in the King of Cookery chinese movie, starring Stephen Chow. Kai is a meticulous person. Watching the cheese oozing out, he quickly rushed into the kitchen to grab some paper towels.

Demona: Kai introduced us to a new game called Cluedo, an interesting game he got to know of during his work trip overseas. The game was a whole load of fun, filled with laughters, suspense, moans, groans, pleadings etc. We "Cluedo-ed" the whole night through into the dawn of the new year, 2008. The pict above showed the full team of suspects and their murder weapons.

Demona: Dogma held this figure at gun point with the miniature revolver.

Verdict: A simple, quiet but fun and enjoyable New Year Eve celebration. No sweaty bodies, no over priced drinks and food, no noise. A great way to celebrate the New Year, with the company of close friends, cheering for health, wealth and happiness!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE ! *toast*
