What a meaty affair!

Firstly greeted by the delicious all time dearly missed satay daging and ayam! Could only chew on 1 each, my tummy couldn't take it as it was already 130am when they served this.

But oops.. Tummy will give excuse to.. Jacquart cuvee brut mosaique. Yums!

The main was grilled beef. Too much to stomach at such wee hours of the night.

Even for breakfast: grilled lamb, beef tenderloin and chicken. MORE MEAT. Too much meat....

Luckily fruits and yoghurt were served at Brit Airways.. Neutralised a little bit.

 

The downside of my MH journey was that the TV was spoilt, and my colleague's reclining seat wasn't working.

Compensation was only rm200 inflight shopping voucher.... For Biz Class seat price? aiyo... Not worth.

Oh well.. I got myself a makeup kit, and still had to top up RM 50. RM 200 cant help much in buying anything nice.

Hmmmm....

Sunday bazaar lunch@Solaris Dutamas

I'm not sure what the Sunday bazaar schedule is like.. But whenever they have it on, it always excites me to see how creative the stall sellers are in selling their trademark goods.

For this particular Sunday, Espresso Lab was selling rm5/cup for a top barista quality coffee. Mmmmm.... :)

And the Wiener stall stood out too. Two pretty girls in red dresses, red lipsticks, and even got their manicure coloured red and yellow to match their Wiener theme.

Heck, they even made biz namecards in red and yellow!

Sausages and buns steamed with cool looking machines. And the sellers raved on their home made sauces: for mine i chose, radish and mustard.

Rm5.50. Not bad, and tasted pretty good too!

And my re-visit to auntie's nasi lemak. Soooo generous. Ayam nasi lemak, RM 4.50. My friend bought the one with sotong, for rm 4.50 too! And auntie gave so much sotong that they spilled out from the banana leaf when she opened up the pack.

Steal dealllll!!

Siew Pao Master@Seremban

During my recent fieldwork in Melaka, Nilai and the final pitstop in Seremban, my dear friend Vivien popped into my mind.. After my tummy started calling out to me... Siewwww paooo... Siewwww paooo....

She was so sweet to search for adds and map for me to make my way to "Siew Pao Master". Apparently serembanites love their paos from here. The name itself intruiged me, and my tummy.

It took us a while to finally find the shop, signage wasn't very good and one who isn't familiar with the roads would have easily missed it.

The pungent whiff of buttery aroma just hits our nostrils the moment we stepped out of the car. Fuh, exciting!

So happens, a fresh tray of eggtarts just came out of the oven. And vivien said, eggtarts are superb. Luck was SO on my side!

Bought the paos and eggtarts, and went home a happy soul :)

Eggtarts i must say, delicious! The egg was so soft but still a tiny thickened curdle just enough to hold itself together.

The siew paos, yummy too! Fragrant, buttery, and chunky pork bits! Although, I still could not tell at this point which is the best siew pao that I've ever tasted. Tough.. Many famous stalls selling actually taste equally good too.

Any other siewpao recommendations?

Fry fry fry! Dakgalbi @Uncle Jang, Solaris Mont Kiara

This place reminds me a little bit about Myung Dong, Korea. Of course the surroundings could not match up to the environment back in MD itself, but the giant frying pan in front of us would suffice. 

The waiters here are mainly Bangladeshis, who could speak general Korean greetings. 

Cabbage and chicken fry fry fry fry! Dakgalbi!

A pack of instant noodles went in the giant frying pan too. Honestly speaking, it does seem like as if a mamak frying maggi mee goreng in front of me.

The only difference was some dolbokis added in dakgalbi.

And yes.. it looked as yummy as how you would imagine it to be from looking at this picture. The star ingredient was definitely the spicy paste used to fry along these deliciousness.

Super spicy, and the chicken slices were chewy and chunky. YUMS! The sheer fact of  the hot and spicyness makes you eat and eat and still don't feel full.... until you stop for a sip of water.

Surely, it seems like you could cook this at home, but I guess, the price you pay (RM22), is not just to fill up your tummy, but the eating experience that comes with it. Having a gigantic frying pan in front of u, everyone with a pair of chopsticks each squandering away as many strings of noodles and chicken as possible, and wearing a funky plastic apron while eating!

Home made tiramisu@Ms YYY

My friend loves baking like me, but sadly, my laziness takes over the better of me. She still bakes every now and then...

And boy oh boy, today is my lucky day!

Home baked tiramisu, and it truly tastes amazing! Light, fluffy and not too sweet. I had to stop myself from digging further than several scoops!

Anyone interested to order? Trust me, it is really good! And I have high tastebuds for desserts.

Fish noodles@kopitiam next to Say Huat, Seksyen 17 PJ

One of the above average fish noodles i've ever eaten.

Strong fish broth coupled with springy lemongrass. Chef was pretty generous with the fried fish chunks also.

Yums! RM 6.50.

Only downside to this place is: please be prepared to sit in a 'sauna'. The kopitiam was so stuffy and humid, plus steamy hot soup = suckling sweaty Demona.

Coffee that ruined my morning@Dome cafe, The Intermark

This take-away cup was poorly designed. The cup cover did not tightly fit the cup and the material could not hold on the hot beverage long!

The coffee leaked out, burning my hand and I endured an embarrassing moment messing the entire lift area walkway.

Thank gosh for The Daily Sun, to wipe the mess.

I wrote a complaint letter to the management and all I got was a generic 'we will look into it' courtesy reply. BAH!

Banning Dome this point onwards. No courtesy to keep every customer satisfied!
