Les Ribieres Cotes Du rhone + Humbert Freres

Had a casual wine session at home with housemates..

Chusclan Les Ribieres Cotes Du Rhone Blanc 2004: I revisited this wine since my last tasting at Le Benaton. Again, it's a complex, smokey wine. Reminiscent of a diluted Sauternes. A nose of smoke, ginger, mandarin citrus,oil and indian spice. Mouth feel is pretty heavy but not the most elegant and pure. Framework was big and complex but not noble. However, interesting and value for money wine. Give it a try
Domain Humbert Freres Gevrey Chambertin 2001: Explosive cherry on the nose with abundance of dark fruits. Sweet licorice. Could improve further to gain more complexity.
Braised Beef Stomach and shank: Dinner was a Atkin Diet's of Dogmama's Braised Beef stomach and shank. Taiwan style. I like it. Coool...
