Inle Myanmar Cuisine@Peninsular Plaza

John and I had a sumptuous Dinner at Peninsular Plaza today (after sharing a Taco Bell Buritto). This place is really a hang out for Burmese as we were the only non-Burmese table. Service was prompt with lemon laced water served upon seating. All waiters were friendly Burmese.

Htamin Thoak@5.50SGD: Fried Rice mixed with potato, dry shrimps with special house seasoning. It has a unique taste and a big taugeh aroma. The potato makes the rice starchy and sweet. Pretty interesting.
Topiaco Leaf Soup@FOC: Salty and flavourful, I like it! taste quite like our salted vege and duck soup without the excessive grease.
Curry Pork@9sgd For those who had tried Peranakan's Babi Pontek, this is something similar. The curry was mildly spicy but the fatty pork was enjoyable with the fried rice.

Assorted Fried Appetizer@8sgd: Fried Penniwort, Fried Gourd, Onion Fritters, Fried Sweet Potato. All of them were fried in some heavy batter. The penniwort and onion fritters were coated in a tad excessive flour. John do enjoy the spicy plum sauce alot thou.

The total bill amounts to 24sgd which was considered pretty ok.We were both FULL after the dinner.
