Wine@Denise

A lazy day at work and i decided to pop by Denise for a chat and end up having 2 bottles of wines.
Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc 2007@34sgd
Intense, straight forward nose of tropical food of lychee, pineapple back with a slight buttery backbone. Medium to heavy mouth feel. Medium length. Non a wine for discussion but a pleasant wine for this price range. Drinking well now.

NashWauk Cabernet Sauvignon 2006@40sgd
Rated 92 pointer by Robert Parker, it is typically big, fruity with an intense vanilla nose from the oak handling. Sweet licorice on the palate with smooth tannins. Could taste some good acidity beneath the heavy fruit. I think this could only be better 5 years down the road. If you have 40 bucks to spare, buy one and chuck it into your cellar and see how it develops. Not drinking too well now as only the fruit dominates.

Old Changkee Fried Calamari head and body with some peanuts
