Fratelli Casetta Winery's Suri Barbera D'alba 2003: I pop this bottle of Italian Barbera D'alba recently when Juha came.
Nose: Made from 100% Barbera grapes. The nose was not too pronounced. Some crushed currants intermingled with herbal and alcohol heat.
Palate: Pretty classic in the mouth with lingering sharp tannins. Could taste considerable fruits in the mouth. Nothing too complex.
Verdict: Easy to drink classic wine with sharp tannins. Not the most elegant but an easy wine for everyday drinking. No the day after headaches.
